How many free AI uses do I get, and what counts?
Scanning receipts, Say it and importing screenshots use the AI, and each Apple Account gets 10 free uses. A use counts only when entries are actually found: an unreadable receipt, or a screenshot or sentence with no expenses in it, doesn't count. The monthly summary never counts and works before and after you unlock. After that, a one-time purchase in Settings → Coinnote full version removes the limit, with no subscription. Adding expenses by hand, your ledger, budget, stats, CSV export and the Face ID lock are always free.
How do I restore my purchase on a new phone or after reinstalling?
Sign in to the App Store with the Apple Account you bought it with, then go to Settings → Coinnote full version and tap Restore Purchase. Your used free uses also belong to your Apple Account, so reinstalling doesn't reset them.
Can I share the unlock with my family?
Not at the moment. The unlock isn't available through Family Sharing, so each Apple Account buys its own. Everyone gets the free download and 10 free AI uses on their own Apple Account.
Is my ledger uploaded anywhere?
No. Your ledger stays on your phone, with no account and no cloud sync. Only when you tap an AI feature is that photo, sentence or set of screenshots sent through our server to Anthropic's Claude to be read, and our server doesn't keep it. When you switch phones, restore from an iCloud or computer backup or use Quick Start, and your data comes along. The privacy policy has the details.
What if the AI gets something wrong?
The AI can misread numbers or dates, so every entry is shown to you first. You can fix anything before tapping Save, and you can edit saved entries any time. If a receipt is crumpled, dark or cut off, Coinnote asks you to retake it rather than guessing the amount.
Does it work offline?
Adding expenses by hand, your ledger, budget, stats and CSV export work without a connection. Scanning receipts, Say it, importing screenshots and the monthly summary need the internet to use the AI.
Which languages and currencies are supported?
The app is available in English, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Spanish. It reads Taiwanese e-invoices and receipts from Japan, Korea, the US and Mexico. Currencies are USD, MXN, EUR, TWD, JPY and KRW. The home screen and stats add up your main currency only; other currencies are listed separately, never converted.
How do I report a strange AI result?
